Oh and the best thing, I have found to take sand out, is the square collection cups they use at the fish store. Cost about 7-8$

Or a handy dandy shop vac :D....

Just for kicks, I made xenia snails, zoo snails, and a monti cap snail. The monti cap snail browned out after a week or so, and eventually broke off. The other guys are still kicking around somewhere in there.

PS, if you are struggleing to try to make a xenia snail, the trick is to cut a little 3/4" chunk of rubber band and glue down each end around the snail like a partial belt with a little tension. Cut a healthy xenia stock and tuck it under the rubber band. The first 2 days or so is the delicate time for it, but if it makes it past that and attaches, just grab the snail again and snip off the rubber band and you have your self a xenia snail. The zoo snails just require a little superglue.

well here's a little update hehe :p .
First of all Thanks Colleen (jesshimom) and Scott (zlids) for the snails :) they are gonna be a huge help and for my new cute snail named afro.
Yesterday i did my big water change, it was a lot of work !!!
My husband helped me a little.
I brushed as much as I could with the tooth brushes and some baby brush i had laying around.
I cannot believe how much algae i had  , the water when from transparent to green with hairs:D ( Krish i knew you were sending me your good vibe all the way from home  )
I also found my fire worm which was about 1 foot, it scared the heck out of me when it was trying to crawl onto my hand... so yeah i was like HONEY GET THE PICKERS !! and AHHH !!! GET IT.. GET IT.. GET IT !!! even Antonio was yelling .. worm !! :D .
Anyways, i brushed all my rocks exept one because i have my long tentacle anemone living there and i didn't wanna disturbe its house, so i tried brushing but it didn't work as i wanted :doubt: .
I tried brushing the green stuff on my back glass and it was seriously tough, i think it's more like green Coralline  because the only way i could remove a little was with the little scraper and still it was though (well i guess at least it was good for the green month) , so yeah after a while a gave up, i was to tired, it took me about 4 hours to do everything.
I'll try posting some pictures tonight
