 I don't know what happened to my "Huge,Gigantic" Xenia, it has disappeared, Put a new Sunpod on the tank and "Wa La" no more xenia, just have slick bump where they used to be, one does have some very very tiny petals showing, but that's it. It has been several weeks now, still no xenia???

Can some one offers any suggestions to my concern? I had H2O checked professionally, and all was great! Tank is due for a bi-weeekly H2o change, I have just started adding supplemental Iodine to the tank as a suggestion to this concern.

Any help would be apperciated.

Some species of Xenia are sensitive to high temperature (over 83F) and others to alkalinity. The alkalinity range should be 2.74meq/L - 3.09 meq/L or 7.7dKH - 8.6dKH for those sensitive species.

Regards,
Kevin

"I had H2O checked professionally, and all was great." All =??? Professional=???LFS?

What are you checking water parameter wise as well?

Disapeared = hadn't looked at my tank in a week? overnight?

I had Curt check all the h2o parameters, I am really guessing that I shocked them with the new Sunpod light, I didn't know that I was suspossed to tritrate the light to the full running time. I just turned it on like normal and turned it off a regular time about 11 hours.

could've been the light. How's your temp? As kevin stated earlier some xenia don't like it when the temp gets above 82-83F.
