I figured my reef didn't look natural enough, there is enough bottles and rusty chain but it was missing something that I had always seen diving.
I picked this up under the sea so it is a natural part of a reef. A reef next to a dump or in a marina or after a typhoon, whatever.

Krish, thats the look I am going for. I have dove on many reefs in many places for many years and all reefs have bottles and cans.
Of course in New York where I found this one there are much more than most places. It will look more natural when it gets covered with coraline and I grow some coral on it.
Have a great day.

The two pictures above were taken today.
I don't have any new shots of the full tank. This one is a few months old.

There was supposed to be a picture there

This one was today too. It's as full a shot as I have now. The tank is 6' long so obviousely most of it is missing here. I really have to take more pictures.

man i dont see any bottle or cans when i dive maybe sum ropes ancors or sumthing but never stuff like that in or on our aussie reefs and if i was to see shit like that i would certainly remvoe it on my dive i would find it said to see stuff like that when im diving

Morgan, thats why that stuff is in my reef, I removed it from the sea.
I dove in Australia and it's true there isn't much garbage in the water, thats because you don't have many people living there.
But in Sydney harbor where I dove there are plenty of cans.

Josh, It doesen't matter if aluminum is bad for the corals, the can is coated with fiberglass resin as is a rusty chain thats also in there.
My tank is not meant to be a pristine reef it is meant to give me enjoyment and be interesting to me. This tank has gone through many changes in aquascaping in 35 years and it will keep changing.
Have a great day.
Paul
