I understand totally where you are coming from Paul and have no issues with you or your methods at all ( i.e if ever I come off that way) as everyone has their own style. My only thing is sometimes you have new members on here that don't know a person's methods and will just read something like, "I use NSW and it doesn't need any treating" or "I never quarentine and never had an issue" etc and they think it is alright and go and do it without knowing the whole story and end up with a disaster. So I think sometimes we just need to explain our methods a bit just for the sake of the others.

All Newbees, don't do what I do. I will let you know if I think you should do something, thats why I always say, don't do what i do. I am an experimenter.
Sometimes, experiments do not always go as planned but I always learn something, sometimes I learn not do that experiment again.
Always quarantine your animals or you may end up as I did many times in the beginning with a tank full of dead ich infected fish.
