There is an option that asks you if you want to delete the old hd or make a partition, you want to delete.
do you hear the hard drive noisy lately? it might be the hard drive going bad.
Finn, you can probably fix this problem on your own with a little help from a forum that I've used before myself. Go here and register. http://www.techsupportforum.com/ It's completely free and the guys who do the helping do exactly that, help. They will basically do it all for you, all you need to do is follow the instructions of what they post. They will reset your registry back to a working order. Check out this link, http://www.techsupportforum.com/sec...read-before-posting-malware-removal-help.html download the programs they suggest and then post your problem. They will ask for your logs that you get from the downloaded programs. Then they'll give you a txt. file to put into another program that will fix the registry. Chances are you got a virus if it all of a sudden started running like crap. They help you dump the virus and then fix the problems it caused.
did this issue just recently happened? have you tried system restore?
