I've been having a MASS breeding of these little snails in my tank. The have a shell that looks like a finger nail and they are not that big. I seriously have approximately 100-120 of these little things.

my lights are off now, but when they come on I'll take a picture.

They dont seem to be bothering anything, but i need to controll the number.

Stomatella snails. They are good. That's what they sound like. do they hide in the day?

Thanks Damsel. You hit it on the ball. So those are good? Why do they breed so much. I literally have about 150+ of those things in my 50 gallon

its insane

The problem is they die as fast as they breed.

Don

Do they have a short life or do they die due to tank conditions. I have some that are over an inch long and have been in my tank since I set it up in March...plus tons of baby ones that are getting bigger.

If you have that many, offer them to local reefers! They are great snails!
