It is Neomeris annulata a calcareous algae.

Yep. check out a post I did a little while ago. While pretty cool, it basically took over my tank in the matter of a couple weeks. Right now I have to harvest it by hand every week. if someone knows a way to get rid of the stuff, please ping me or reply to the thread. Thanks.

they usually die off as your tank cycles...i just had a client who had alot that came out of the liverock for the first 2 months the tank was set up and then slowly they disappeared. I kind of liked the way they looked jmo

Thanks everyone for the input. It's nice to be able to put a name to these little guys. I couldn't find them in any books because I was looking for corals and these are not.
