need help with cl water flow....

iam going back to sand....the two cl i have now one goes down the back of the diamond shape tank,two in off the bottom and flow across the bottom of the tank under the egg crate that the lr is on, and the other cl alternates from left to right at the top of the tank on each side blowing down, what is the ideal setup to use before i add the sand up to the egg crate..here is a bad pic of what i started with years ago

I would go with a spray bar then I assume you have a canopy on the top. for wide flow pointing down

what about going up under the egg crate and lr and blowing stright up, under the rocks... View attachment 38603
