Indeed! and they are great for sand...

They come dime a dozen on ebay! (I bought 200 of them for $29)

Thanks Matt. This snail is 3/4" long. It is hard to tell in this picture, it also spends a lot of time on the rock but is seldom seen. Very dark snail with bright white bottom. This one just appeared one day. Do you still think it is a Ilyanassa snail? I looked at a picture you posted of yours and they don't look the same to me. Also this snail seems to be growing quite large, quickly.

they grow fast the ones on ebay are small but grow and their shells are all a little different from another. they also seem to get lighter in color as they get big...
I am 90% sure it is the same..
