i have know idea what is going on with my tank.My nitrates never seem to go down even when i do water changes it always stays the same.They are really high 20 maybe 40 on a api test kit. They werent high in the month after my cycle but then just all of a sudden jumped up and have never went back down.
tank is a 155 gallon with a 55 gallon sump/fuge.Fuge has cheato and a deep sand bed of 4"-5". Skimmer is a octo extreme 200.Mag 12 as a return. 2 K4's and 2 K3's for flow. DT has a 2"-3" sand bed and 200-250 pounds of LR.
For fish there are a pair of GSM clowns .
5" scribbled rabbit fish
2" red sea sailfin
2" blue hippo
4 1" chromis
i feed a shrimp frozen food mixture that i make about 1 or 2 times aday. and i feed 1 sheet of nori though out the day.
what can i do to get them down i have tried big water changes and it doesnt do anything.smaller water changes over a period of time.Also have not been feeding as much.
