How aggressive is it? I know all dottybacks are territorial, but I heard some are better than others. I heard orchid dottyback is the least aggressive, do you know about neon dottyback? It is definitely the prettiest in my book and I'd love to have one. But I have tried a bi-color dottyback and had to remove it due to aggression and don't want to repeat history.

Any experience here? Thanks a bunch.

I have a neon and he is MEAN. I wouldn't trust him with any fish smaller than him. He seemed to leave my larger clown alone when they were in the same tank, but he really picked on the smaller male. They are known to disembowel small fish. He tried with one of my yellow tailed damsels. Now he has a tank by himself with only a few hermits. The hermits are even afraid of him. They don't come out of their shells very far. On a positive not though, they are gorgeous fish and have great personalities and will eat any unwanted bristle worms in your tank. But they are by far the most agressive dotty. I've done quite a bit of research on them. If you are willing to house one in a 10 or 15 alone then I deffinately reccommend getting one as they are gorgeous and fun to watch. They are rather curious. Hope this info helps! feel free to ask more specific questions if you'd like more info... Oh and BTW they are big eaters and require very meaty foods.

Becky's got the # on the Arabian dottybacks! I saw one in action once, then looked it up in Scott Michael's book - "may disembowel tankmates."

I'm glad they aren't bigger!

Thanks :) That's what I am afraid of which is too bad, they are such pretty fish. I guess I'll stick with orchid dottyback if I really want one.

Thanks again.
