Help me out if you can please.

I am very new at this and today I found something laying beside my Feather Duster worm, Can anyone tell me what this is. It looks like a baby but I just want to be sure it isn't something else I need removed ASAP

Thank you in advance

might also help to let you know that the orginal feather duster lost his head about 3 weeks ago and just the other day I noticed he had grown his feather back. Maybe it was the stress of creating a new addition.

At least I hope so!!! would be way cool :)

The picture is of a feather duster without its tube. I think they will sometimes vacate their tubes when stressed but i could be wrong, it may also be dead.

that is a possibility but here's the problem I have. The original Feather still has it's home and is proudly displaying it's colors. The new one has also moved and burried itself in the sand. I can barely make out where it is now. So it isn't dead.

Needless to say I'm confused
