Does anybody have a trick to get a good nead of silicone down? Also any tricks to making it look decent? Ive never really had a steady clean looking bead.

Yea, just use a good masking tape Green or Blue and keep it 1/4 to 5/16 back from inside corner taking in to account the piece that overlaps the other. Apply your silicone then smooth to shape with wet finger making sure to blend to tapes thickness at edges, remove tape before it sets.
