new frag tank build

I am in the middle of building a new frag system and thought i would share!!!
i will update as much as possible!!

here are some pics of the sump and some supplies. The water jugs are going to be for phyto and rots. i should get the acrylic for the tanks soon. there is a pic of a rough drawing of what the system will look like. but anything can happen so we'll see...
i will be building more today, and will be getting the rest of the equipment out of storage soon. updates soon!!

built the table/stand for the upper tank today. might get some plumbing supplys tomorrow...idk really busy tomorrow.

picking up the glass for the tanks today, and possibly the lights as well. will be finishin the stand and begin the mock setup of plumbing and wiring soon!!

i bought a light for my sump.
i also got the glass for the tanks today and have started assembly tonight. i have one tank done with the silicone right now, and think i will do the other tomorrow. The tanks are 48"x24"x12". I am thinking next time, i'm not gonna go higher than 8".
I also will be adding a second tier to the stand tomorrow.
still need my bulkheads and glass bit then i will be mocking up the plumbing.

I need to get the linoleum for the stand as the flooring store in town had none and it was $7.29 a foot... I called lowes, their's is 0.89, much better price. I also got the piece of styrofoam insulation to go under the tank and one side of it is reflective!!! so that will be nice for the lighting. also got bulbs today. slow but steady...

bulkhead fittings and glass hole bit have been ordered and i have put about five gallons in the first tank to start the leak test...so far so good!!

The leak test says i am good to go!!!
I am going to have sps corals in the top glass tanks and lps and softies in the 150 tub.
I am going to have two sure flow modded 2100gph i each tank, switching the linear flow every ten min or so. I got the idea from calfo's book.
I have been thinking...what should my first coral be guys? i was going to put a pair of goldstrip maroons in there to start the cycle....hmmm... any ideas? i get excited when i think of all the rics and acans and pink lemonades... =)

i think 4 sure flows is way to much... i think even one would be good for a 48x24x12 tank.....ekks!!
