Wow, Gaby, nice ride.
I also agree with taking the bike to the dealer, they can do the job easier and when you compare parts and the time it would take your husband to do the oil change well, it sometimes is only a few $$ difference.

I also ride and I would recomend you and your hubby take the safety class. Here is my bike

Since a chrome filter alone will cost 15.95 and along with 4 quarts of oil 4.95 each I'm already over the 19.95 price.

What is the purpose of a chrome oil filter?

It's looks better than the standard black filter and there's really not much of a price difference between the 2. It's pretty much standard equip. on the HD bikes.
