for which tank? ...they have been making some for a couple years now

well, if your talking about the sapphire with a recirc maxijet, then that's as good as it's going to get for your tank, better than the cpr one.
does it come with a mesh modded impellar? he was talking about making those last year, if not, it's an easy thing to do yourself.

well, if you mesh modded the acclea pump that the cpr comes with it would be close, but to be honest i havent seen either in operation, so im just taking an educated guess based on design, and popular opinion on the street.
the fact that the the sapphire is a recirc skimmer that allows you to control the amount of process water is where the largest benifit is in it's design vs the cpr sr3

From what I have heard, the company that makes these has gone out of business. I had a hard time tracking one down about 6 months ago. I think they are a pretty good skimmer. I just need to have Mark do the mesh mod on it for me
