Check it out guys, this was the buy. (i think i did well)
We got a UV steralizer thingy it says on it empoure aquatics and theres a masking tape that said replaced bulb 11/25/98 then his name. (he said) it needs new bulb (i say) hes right, its all sorts of old. but its a rather big one, its about 2 feet long, with pritty big inlets. i dont know if ill use it but most likey i will

a fuval 304 filter of some sort, (everything is derty nasty, and i would never put it in a new system with out masive cleaning)

a CRP skimmer, with nasty blue stuff in it, that can go.

it has hoods and some little lights, but that will not be used.

the 55 gal tank under is the one i picked up yesterday or the day b4.

theres a large box of white sand, the lady was all about me takeing it. i was like ya im not gonna use it probly. but now thinking about it. i probly could.
in a year or 2 when im seting this thing up i think (you guys tell me) that i should be able to add that big box (maybe 100lbs or so) and a bag or 2 of new LS, and be golden.

she was all about givein me these big dead corals, (dont think she new they were dead) but one is big and will make a good hiding spot.

theres also a bio filter of sort that little thingy to the left bottem of pic 2
i dont know what it is, but its nasty and should be chucked

on the other hand and hopefully not geting busted and my post pwnd.

but while we were there (i brought 3 friends) we walk in to the house, the wife is scoope the sand out of the tank with a cat scope. the room is smokie, (you know what i mean) and i smelt that smell. but like i didnt know if it was me or if i was just smelling like it. This doesnt even fasze me im so in to the tank looking checking it over. all about that tank right

so we start walking the stuff out were going in and out moveing things
the tank the stand the boxs. i give him the money, shake his hand thank you bla bla bla

and were drive away. Im all like "YAAAHHHH" all sorts of happy i just got this big tank.

then i was like yo was it me or did it smell "funny in there" (not so meny words) and my friends like. "DUDE you didnt even see the plant in the corner by the tank" IM like what!!!!

i say it weighed about 350 or so
i still cant beleave how thick the glass is. it looks bullet proof

if you check out aquatraders.com they have some inexpensive overflows similar to the cpr's but only around 35.00.

looks like a cool score. that is cool the first bakpak style. the dead coral is acually very expensive to buy. I really like that size of tank though.

looking at lika 1000 for the lights, 350 for a nice aqua c in sump skimmer with pump.

2 big heaters

the rock is gonna be the major damage

aqua c's are good but can be touchy. I would look at needlewheels. you can do lighting retros for 200 each or less.

ya, i really wanna move out of this house, tho im liveing at my parents and shes at her parents,

ill be starting school soon i hope (find out today) then ill be lookin for a part time job 2 work in around school. try to make some real money.

then ill start seting this up



the retro's you would need a canopy right?

i dont plan on a top, just a new bottem cab.
i really like that pc stealth look.

but sereusly, guys its gonna be at least 1 full year b4 i can by anything for this tank.

while i do have some money left over a little. im not all about spending every penny. (she will strait up leave my azz) but

when the time is right, the tank will come 2 gether.

and anther thing is that i dont want do this have azz.

i wanna move first (so i dont have to move tank ageain) put the tank where its gonna go. start aguireing parts.

skimmer heater, pumps pipes overflow box. lights powerheads (the tunze set)

once i have all of thos items. i will start looking for a good deal (not the cheapest) on bulk LR.

then ill get my self 2 bags of LS, add that to the HUGE box of sand they gave me. put that down first (ill have my shelf system made by then) then ill put in about 170-200 lbs of LR.

let that sucker cycle for about 2 months. then all start ageain.

but what i can do in the imedinte futre is start baffles for that sump.
someone here had a great pic of a sump someone else help them make. but i for got who it was.
