I need some help with picking out a new skimmer. Currently I am using a Berlin Classic (non-turbo) skimmer that came with the setup. I am not happy with the way it is working and want to replace it soon. I would like to go with a skimmer that can be run externally. I don't like having the thing in my sump and want to use the skimmer chamber in my sump as a refugium.

My tank right now is a 75 gallon acrylic. Within the next year or so, I will be moving to a new house and will be getting a larger tank. Hopefully in the 200-250g range, so I want something that will not have to be replaced again when I get the larger tank.

Any advice on which ones to look at would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Jamie

Are you looking for Quiet and Effective or just Effective...

An Approprietly sized Euroreef will do the job Quietly..

AquaC ev400 would more than do its job quietly...

For a bit of Noise you can go with MRCs beckett line of skimmers as well as Precision Marine, Ect Ect ect...

If you want the best you can drop a Grand on a nice Deltec as well.. IMO Its all just a Hype and get a nice beckett skimmer..
