New skimmer for esmith

Well first let me make it clear that this is not a commercial post. I made this skimmer for E because he is a all around good guy, and we shared the expenses of material. I made it basically just like mine, same size and all. Hopefully we can get er up and running on his tank tomorrow. This is a shot of it on my rock curring vat. I could have really used this thing about a month ago

Just thought I'd update this thread with a current photo of this baby running on my tank.

This is what I got in less than 24 hours, and it's scaled back since I wasn't sure how it would continue to run after breaking in. Since Tom designed this exactly like his, my lower water level in my sump resulted in some major splashing....so I've taped on a small piece of 3/4" PVC temporarily so that the water is returned back to the surface of the water with no splashing.


Let me once again send out a great big thanks to Tom for building this for me, I really appreciate it bro!

EW, That looks like some nasty crap I need to modify that lid, so bring it over sometime.
