Hello Everyone!

Well just wanted to let all those who have been so patiently waiting for my new 60 gallon cube to be up and running will not see it happening for some time now.

I think one of the bulkheads is stripped as I can not get a loc-line to go it and another one as well will not accept the loc-line..

The hole for the drain to the sump has the 2 x 4 center brace in the way and of coarse I tried to cut away a portion of it and totally messed that up I think.

So I got completed frustrated and put everything away and at this point may try to hire the LFS owner to plumb it but at $45 an hour it is spendy but considering my DIY skills may be the better option.

Taking all the LR back to the LFS tomorrow so as not have that lying around and will start with new LR when and if this tank is up and running.

Of coarse finding out a good friend and co-worker got diagnosed with cancer last week and my diabetes giving me problems has just compounded the situation somewhat but not making excuses but the facts of life.

What I have learned out of this is there is more to life than a reef tank and it has opened my eyes to that vary fact...Anyway wanted to let ya all know and it may still get up and running but not in the immediate future...Thanks for reading! Johnny

P.S. I feel like I have let alot of people down at this point for all that they have done and it is not a good feeling.:(

hey man, sounds like your having a ruff time, boy If I was close I'd be there in a heart beat to help get that thing going. If there is anything I can do to help let me know, we will do our best. I still have faith for ya, It may take a little while but in just time I'm sure things will work out. Hang in there Johnny, we will be here to help cheer you up & maybe even get someone to help out.

Johnny, man that's not the good news I was waiting on, but then again life deals the hand and we just play it as best we can. You'll get it all out together in time and we'll be here ready to compliment the nice work we all know you are going to do. There's no need to worry about letting anyone down. If I was faced with half what you have I can 't imagine where I'd be right now. Your one of the most resilient people I have ever come across so I am confident you wil overcome, yet again. Plus it sounds like it's a priority issue, and I would say yours are in the right place.

Keep the chin up bud! We're always here for you.

everything in its own time, things will fall into place,,,you have made it this far on friends and faith,,,,they will get you home!

Johnny,

I can't imagine it would take more than an hour for your shop to attach a couple of new bulkheads. You scored on the tank so $45 bucks seems like a bargain.

Don't sell LR back for 50 cents on the dollar only to have to rebuy it at full price again.

Take a deep breath and don't look at the tank for a few days. A lot of things happened last week...you are going to get frustrated easier after a hard week.

Keep your chin up. As Dory would say, "Keep swimming".

Sorry to hear of the misfortunes. Prehaps a break is much needed anyways. We will all be here and "standing by to stand by" when it does get finished! (That brings up a good question...are our reef tanks ever really finished? )

Life will always throw wrenches into the game plan, in our life and our tanks. Just have to remember that nothing good is easy and nothing good is free, you just have to make it worth the price you pay. Sooner or later...patients and persistance will catch up to you. That I am sure of!

Good luck and hang in there tough guy....We will be here pulling for ya!

Johnny, I can totally understand. I mentioned to you what I had had to start doing with my tank on my own, so I can understand your frustration. Things happen for a reason and this tank will be set up, but we have to take our health also into account. Some have it, some don't, those of us that don't have it do as we can when we can.

So let it be for as long as you have to. Then when you see yourself wanting to work on it things will also go easier.

Me, I'm patient, I can wait to see your tank up and running. ;)

First and foremost, take care of yourself!!!!!
