Finally got my new tank in It has a coast to coast overflow. Sumpas custom made with 2-over/under/over baffle sets at each end.

what size is your tank..... what are the dimensions of your sump? How much waterflow do you expect to get with your sump design?

90 gal tank and the sump is 44 long x16 wide x14 high. Return pump will be a Mag24 which will feed 2 SQWDS. Not sure if that answers your question. Designer of sump says it will handle the flow no problem.

Mostly LPS, Zoos,Brains etc. Im still trying to figure out wether to buy a new Mag24 to run both SQWDs or go with the 2-mag9.5s I already have. with cost of a new Mag24 I couls get a few things like more live rock or more Frags.
Any water flow experts can you help me here. Please.

personally, I like the redundancy of two pumps.....

Hey Min,

I guess I might go with the 2 mag 9's since you already have them. Not sure about the power usage of the 2 pumps vs the mag 24......or the heat issue for that matter. One good thing would be if you had a pump fail then you would have at least 1 pump running. Also I guess there would be the matter of different plumbing for each setup. Not really that big of a deal.
