New to hobby, Need help in Yakima Valley

Hi, I'm new to this hobby, I just bought a saltwater setup. I'm so excited to learn more about reefing. But I know nothing. Right now I'm in need of a 250w ballast for my MH lights. So if anyone in the area I would appreciate the help or guidance to where i can find one.

Also does anyone know if there are any reef shops, reef clubs in the valley. I already went to Petco and Petsmart, they are ok but limited in supply. Thank You!

Not sure if there is a club in Yakima, but the club in the Tri-Cities is quite active! I'd encourage you to get involved with them, they are great people!

Ohhh, and if you are ever in Spokane you can also visit us at the Spokane Reef Society - we have some good LFSs out here too!

Good luck. I would get your knowledge here and not from the big boxstore style pet shops. There could always be knowledgable people there, but I have heard too many people led the wrong way. Lots of info and helpful people here though.

Not sure if you can view the classifieds on this site, definately can after 50 posts and a month of membership. It is a great place to get well cared for used equipment at a fraction of the new equipment cost.
