here is a pic of the sump/fuge and before you all think im a coral murder i buy dead coral skeletons from my lfs for 99 cents a lb and i have found that the pods love them and they work great in the fuge the goniopora's that you see in the fuge were bought as dead skeletons and they came back i thought that was really unusual knowing there rep for dying

the clam is about 8 inch'e long and 4 wide

Help! We are still so new at this! We just rotated our tank a tiny little bit and discovered an orange "puff" ball wedged in our live rock. I tried moving it, but it appears to be really wedged in there or attached. Any idea on what is growning there and if we need to get rid of it. The pictures I took aren't good...too much glare.

Any ideas??

Sounds like a sponge of some sort. There is some good information on sponges in the Jellyfish/sponges/anemone research section of the resource library.

Here are a couple pics of: Sponges. There are many different varieties.

Hello, most sponges are beneficial to your reef tank. Some though can be toxic if they die.
