A zoo tank would be a great way to start in the reef hobby. They come in a variety of colors, are fairly hardy, and aren't very agressive toward other corals should you want to add more later.
Nikki brings up good question. What fish, shrimp, snails, etc. do you plan to keep in the tank...if any. You don't really need them, but most people want something that moves in the tank.
I think you have a great setup there. You are covering all of the important pieces of equipment. Other thing you may need to consider in Arizona is tank temperature. How do you plan to keep the tank cool. If the house is air conditioned that may work fine. Otherwise, the smaller the tank the more you need to be aware of temperature fluctuations. Actual temperature is less important than the temperature swings throughout the day. Just something to think about.
