new to saltwater fish

I have a 120 gallon saltwater tank with about 120lbs of live rock with a 30 gallon sump tank
my T maxima has these little blue like flowers with a hard surface around it i think its a octocoral and my husband think its a tunicate im trying to post a pic. any help

Again sorry bout the thread I am new to the forum thing and I guess I didn't pay close enough attention and put it in the wrong spot!! Any ways hello there my wife and I are from Boise we are fairly new to keeping aquarium about six to seven painful months no thanx to our lfs and some bad advice and lack of knowledge and lack of research! Any one out there that can lead me in the right direction? I do thank you
