New to Seattle tacoma area

Hello all I will be moving to lovely Seattle area in 3 weeks coming from las Vegas nv. I am not new to reefing but will be new to the Seattle area. I will be. Doing a 240 build For reef and also a 100 fo for the mrs's. Hope to meet some nice and cool people in the area and also get the insure of fish stores in the area. I sold off all my live stock in Vegas so I did not have to worry about anything dieing on me while I move and re-setup my new system.

I agree, there are a ton of great people here on RF and in the Seattle area.
We also have a bunch of well stocked stores with great corals and fish.

well thank you all Sorry I was at a company Xmas party when I posted this last night from my phone. I was there 2 weeks ago staying with my sister in in Tacoma, Browns point. and loved it there. both my wife and I have jobs landed already and She moves out this in 2 days & I will follow in a couple weeks as I get the house packed and ready. But as for my new tank it will be SpS bare bottom. with lots of tangs I have all the equipment already and my friend in Las vegas built me a DIY Cone skimmer with a Diy red Dragon Pump. He will be very busy over the next couple weeks with projects I will have for him reflectors and also stands I will do the stand Skins when I get settled in. But I will do a build thread. and help contribute also to the club. I am on the club board in las vegas a great bunch of Folks I will be leaving. but Vegas is still home for me So I will be back and forth alot.

Welcome to the NW. I just moved to this area from just a little south (Portland/Vancouver) area and am finding everybody up here to be real friendly and helpful. Have you made the move yet? I am heading to Vegas on the 17th for work and will be in town for a week. Is there anything that you can suggest to see or do if I get the time? Thanks, Mike

yeah there is alot to do lol fish related non-fish related for fish stores Beyond the reef Talk to Dave he is the owner let him know Justin sent you great guy with great prices. another is blue reef aquatics in north north las vegas Greg is another great guy with great prices he just opened his doors yesterday. as for the move yes I am up here and working already I am currently living down town Seattle @ the 4 seasons. until I find a house to move into. I put an app. to rent for a year then I will plan on buying after that year but we currently have looked into Federal way for a house..... another place is the silverton hotel and casino has a nice 10000 tube tank. and also has mermaids swimming in it. if you like to gamble stay off the strip lol go to the local casinos like all the stations casinos you have better chances to win there then on the strip. There is alot to do in Vegas just let me know what you like or want to see I will point you in the right direction. I love vegas but it got old for me. I needed a change.

yeah I left alot of house dold goods behind alot of tanks but kept my babies my 240 100 and sump I planned on building new stands anyways. for the tanks to tie all together simple one dose and also one water change I will get photos as soon as my personal pc gets in.

Thanks for the reply. I was looking for the fish related stuff. I have been to Vegas many times just did not seem to get past the casinos.LOL. I actually have been staying at the Station properties the last few times I have been. Thanks for the info and good luck with the house/appt. hunting.
