New Water Filter

I picked this water filter up this weekend from a Seattle's best coffee that my friend construction company destroyed for a new Starbucks. I had just ordered an RO/DI filter (110 GPD) for my new tank last week, but this one should be able to handle everything in the house. Has anyone ever used something like this, and do you know where to get replacement filters for it?

that is one sweet filter and i agree with you it should do the whole house and i'll bet it's very very expensive so good find. there should be a name on the filter houseings or maybe even a web site or take it to a local water supply service like culligan i'm sure they can help you out. good luck.

Filters are pretty high - looks like each one of the cylinder filters is about 60.00 and you replace the entire filter. It says 'no hands touch the filter' so I'm assuming you just screw the whole thing out and screw in a new one. Each filter is good for 9,000 gallons or so it says.

My friend looked up the price for the filter that Starbucks put in and it was $3,800 What tests do I need to run on the water to see if the filters are still in good shape?

It looks like this is the filter I got http://www.everpurefilter.com/products/qc71_triple.php it also has an Ice Maker Filter and a cold water coarse filter on it.

My question is will this work for my reef tank? It doesn't look like it will do Reverse Osmosis.

this filter doesn't look like it removes everything like reverse osmosis filter but with the water quality in the seattle area being so good already this filter may get the water clean enough to use in a reef tank. you could use a TDS meter to check the output on the filter to see.
