New Xenia

I just bought one yesterday and it was pulsating all day. Now today it's not, it's fully open but once in awhile it will curl one of the arms towards the center. Should I worry about this. I fed it last night, DT. Ate like there was no tomorrow. Does, Ca play a role on the pulsing. I have 250w 10,000K MH's and 2 96w PC's.

much has been written on Xenia in the archives my friend. Please do take the time to help yourself here Its so extensive as to not be easily summed up in a reply post.

but do look for issues on pH sensitivity (they like high and steady pH and strong ALK levels)

foods... they cannot eat organismally. They don't even have a developed digestive tract. And if they did, they are more likely to eat zooplankton and not phytoplankton.

As for pulsatile, function... it is not an indicator of health... no worries

Do give this and all corals some time to acclimate/adapt to the change in light and water flow.
