Hello all I just found this site and might I say it is an excellent site and all the information I can ask for. I am the proud owner of this 320 gallon reef tank that houses a blue spotted ribbontail ray, a coral catshark, I used to have a 10 in grey smoothound (that unfortunately I found on the floor before I found out that they were jumpers, a picus sweetlips, clown tang, hippo tangs, naso, and a few more fish. Everybody gets along with one another and the stingray is king of the tank. I have him for about a year and a half and I hand feed him and just the most graceful animal I have ever seen. I hope these pictures work; if so enjoy

Welcome to Reef Frontiers! Quite an impressive looking ray. Please tell us more about your system. What kind of filtration are you using? Good pictures as well.

What temp do you keep your tank at? Smoothhounds are found in very cool waters, below 70.

Thanks everyone. I keep my temp at 75F. I have 2 Solaris lights whichnever heat the water so it literally does not move from 75. Unfortunately after 3 months the smoothhound did not make it as he jumped out of the tank(did not know they were jumpers and also do not know how long he was out of tank) and he was never right after that. He belly was all red and I was told tht this was due to lack of oxygen. After three days he died. I have the stingray for about a year and the coral catshark for two years.

I live in Connecticut. Hopefully by the end of the year I am going to get another tank about 1000gal so I can really have some fun. But I am happy with this tank for now
