Just set up my new 90 gallon ALL glass with overflow. It seems a little noisey to me but not sure, new to overflow aguariums. There is loud humming coming the Mag7 and loud cascading water. Any idea's on how to lower the noise?

mags are known to be loud sometimes
where is the water actually cascading?
is the overflow sucking air (slurping noise)??

Its more like a funneling sound in the drain pipe.

Its also makes a gurggle sound.Im not sure if i need a bigger pump or maybe a different hose from the return. PLEASE HELP

Is the funneling sound coming from the return pipe going into your sump or above in the overflow?

Durso drain and see if that makes sense.
If a hang on overflow, add a straw to break the siphon.

Most of the noise is from aboveand the overflow pipe looks like that one from the link.

Bet you have the tank in a quiet living room next to the TV :>)
If the noise is just cascading, and not a sucking flushing noise, it is what they sound like. Can play with it and try to find a better setting but they make noise.
As to the pump, set it on a piece of rubber or styro as a sound damper.

LUCKY GUESS LOL!! Do you think if i made the vent hole bigger it would help?

I put a foam pad over the air space above, it helps tremendously
