I've had this yellow watchman for about a year and half and he has proven to be a very hardy fish. He now has spots of discoloration which almost appear to have a whitish film on them. Any help would be appreciated. Here's a pic. There have been no changes in water chemistry as of late and I haven't added anything new. All other fish seem to be fine.

Has he maybe been stung by a coral. Do you possilbly have a green serpent star? Sometimes they will try to catch and eat a fish and damage them. I occansionally see damage on my fish from arguing where one is running and hits a sharp rock. Just thoughts hope it helps. Steve

Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate are all 0. I don't have a phosphate kit at the moment but that shouldn't be the issue here. pH is 8.4 and salinity is at 35. I noticed some discolored spots about a week ago but I though they left, but here they are again. I have no serpent stars but I do have a millepora sp. (aka fire coral). You think this could be cause by a sting from the coral? I don't have a qt set up but I do have a 10gal reef which has been fishless for 5months or so. I'm really not sure I'd be able to get him out without tearing down the whole tank which I have to do in 2 weeks anyhow to move. What do you think?

If you are going to tear it down anyway I'd go for it but the fun part is going to be getting him out of his current tank! I hope he gets better soon.
