Everyone should have received an email from me today regarding the November meeting. Please make sure you respond to the email to let me know if you're interested in attending. Please only respond to the email as I will NOT be tallying any inquiries or responses to this thread. I just wanted to let everyone know to check their email and drop me a line if you'd like to get on the list.

Paul Merkling.

Space permitting, we will be allowing guests. At this point, though, it's not looking good. When I left work, there were already 25 dues payers signed up and about 10 non dues payers...

October 2nd was so long ago :?
Is there a list of people who are attending? I can't remember if I rsvp'd or not, and would love to go!!

Just wanted to get some more info before I commit to coming.

-What time are we meeting at the aquarium? Is it at 3? or is that the time we meet at the pub?

-What is the cost of the tour? Do we pay the entrance fees or is this a club benefit?

-Was it decided that we can't bring guests?

Thanks guys, Sorry if I missed all this info if it was posted somewhere.
Can't wait,
Ryan

Ryan,

Look for the Perculator to be sent out in the next day or two. All the details will be in it. The aquarium tour starts at 1:00 sharp and we plan to be at the pub around 3:00. Admission is $10 per person

Gordon

Correct, the tour will be $10 per person - paid directly to the Seattle Aquarium. The club is also making a $250 contribution to the Seattle Aquarium for letting us do this.

Right now, the tour is full. Ryan, I've added your name to the waiting list and will let you know if a spot opens up.

Paul.

Well... now that I am at work and can see that I didn't reply :( :(
Can you put me on the waiting list too? Otherwise, I'll just wait at the bar for y'all to finish up.

i just wanted to thank everyone that helped put on the aquarium tour. it turned out great!!!! i had alot of fun and enjoyed seeing the innards of the aquarium :)

Glad you enjoyed it Matt. I hope everyone else did as well. I was amazed at the amound of plumbing involved with that place....

Yes, I equally enjoyed it! I was amazed at how little plumbing there was! After all the're keeping big pooping mammals alive not just a few frags. Think about taking your dog to the park and multiply by 100. It was most interesting about the fact that they use Puget Sound water for their tropical tanks and the problems that ensue. It does provide them with some stability. Let's do it again.

That was much better then the one down in Org behind the scenas tour IMO. Was great and got to meet some new people!

That was great fun! Got to see everyone without the 'benefit' of being in costume, go on a great tour, understand exactly why I don't want to use aquarium water in my tank, and then get my exercise climbing back up to the market to go to the Pike Place Pub.

Sorry we ducked out so soon, but we wanted to sneak away to Blue Sierra to grab a couple of things before they closed. Got in with about 15 minutes to shop, but luckily we weren't after anything too complex.

Was delayed by the Vashon ferry being off-schedule (I think they were running on only 2 boats) and had to resort to being a human heat pack, but got home with a happy Crocea, so all was good. He's settling into the tank now, seems pleased with the location and looks good.

I am glad to hear that you all enjoyed the tour. The skimmer they use on there large fish display, I think it was a K2R was the largest one I have seen in person. I would be glad to hear more comments about the tour and let me now if there was anything that was not covered that you think we might want to include on future tours.
