I'm wondering if my nutrient-rich (not skimming, small fuge) tank has caused and explosion of the white hard-tubed filter worms all over the walls of my display. I had four of these orginally as hh on the lr and now I got "baby" curley ques all over the back wall, too small to see if filter the nets are out. Thanks in advance. Leave it be or start scraping?

I have seen those in a lot tanks I have taken over on maintence accounts. The usually fade away with proper water quality and maintence. The problem that would come from scrapping them, would be the rot, and decay of their flesh. I just let them go away slowly.
Yea your tanks critters are just coming into dominance because of the water quality. lots of nutrients are going to make the nutrient loving critters come to dominate. I would leave them and allow them to help with controling the nutrents.

I beleive the hard white filter worms your talking about are small feather duster colony's. If I remeber correctly they build their body's(homes) out of detritus and nutrients(as posted above). Check your feeding habits and husbanry"such as siphoning and water changes". Stay on top of these issues and over time you should start to see the reproduction of these little critters fade. HTH

copperbanded butterfly would like them! some bc shrimp might eat them too but i just leave them, im kinda in a phase now where i dont mess with things too much unless there is really an emergency. just dont go putting something in your tank to eat them without knowing what else it might eat!
