I remember seeing a show on Discovery or the like, about sea serpents, bigfoot etc. Two men mentioned seeing a strange, unknown creature with what they called a horse-like head and a 20 ft. tail. It wasn't long after that that I saw footage of an oarfish and realized that was what they must have seen. Imagine if there were even bigger ones that sailors came across.
