thanks for the offer but i actually received my sample the other day via UPS. big t also has offered to bring me a 90 gallon jug so i can try it out. i'll post results as i do testing.

anyone have a magnesium test kit they are not using? mine is out and Blue Sierra is out and seems alot of places are backordered. Also with the Euro up the prices of Salifert test kits have went up.

Fish Gallery (Kent) was selling 200 gal buckets for $29.99 - yes $29.99 about a week ago. Not sure if they still are or not. I bought one and I like it a lot better than Kent Marine or IO.

what is the address of Fish Gallery? or phone #? maybe i'll call them tomorrow to see if they still have this offer.

Actually - the address & # you posted is for the Renton location. They might have it too - not sure.

Just called the Kent location of Fish Gallery and the 200 gal buckets of Oceanic are on sale until Sundey for $29.99

I live in Kent and am coming to tonights meeting....if anyone needs me to pick up some salt for you at the Kent or Renton stores it is not far for me. Let me know by 3pm today and I will grab what they have if still available.

i drove to renton today to Fish Gallery and bought a 200 gallon container of Oceanic salt mix. Price was $39.99 and sale is through tomorrow. Regular price is 49.99

Yes - I went today to get another bucket and when I told them I paid $29.99 on Thursday - they looked at me and said "well - you got a good deal".

hmmmmmm

I apologize for misleading you but I really did only pay $29.99 for it! I have the receipt to prove it too. Guess the person working that night was new or something.

yeah you got lucky.....but 39.99 isn't a bad deal either. 29.99 would've been better.

so have you begun using Oceanic yet? if so how do you like it? i'm mixing up my first batch today.

I've only been using for a few days but have done 25% changes twice in my curing seahorse tank and one 25% change in my reef. Tested everything today and am amazed at how stable my reef is now!

I like the fact that it does dissolve much better than either IO or Kent Marine. After I use it a few more months, I'll be able to tell you more.

Again, I apologize for misleading you about it being $29.99! I guess I should have bought out the store that night when I got it for that price!

Shawnna

yeah that is what i've been reading on reefcentral. people are amazed at how stable their reefs are now instead of IO. i just hope Oceanic keeps the quality of the salt up and doesn't try to build a subscriber base then slack off on quality down the road.

yeah for 29.99 you should've then you could've sold them to us for 35.00 and made a little money :) and no reason to apologize. it wasn't your fault. just glad to see when someone gets a deal like that.

Denny's Pet World in Totem Lake has the 50 and 90 gallon Oceanic salt on sale. I picked up a 90 for $17.99 tonight.

Also, it looks like they are very close to going "live" with their new Saltwater section. They have the tanks up and running, and Blue Damsels swimming about, I presume helping cycle things. They have signs up saying "Saltwater fish and invertebrates coming soon." Looks to be a decent sized setup.
