also Forums are just like the TV if you don't like something you see then move on to the next one.

I'm totally against censorship and since it's in the Water Fountain forum I think political conversations should be allowed in here as long as they remain civilized

This is not a place to be discussing politics period, I strongly disagree on it at this location. I do agree that there is some great places Elsewhere to make such discussions.

I have to agree with Matt on this one. This is the "Water Fountain" afterall. I have seen threads ranging from "Stanley Cup Time" to "Which video games do you like best?" These topics have nothing to do with the hobby. There are plenty of forums available for that stuff. I think people are capable of engaging in a spirited debate without sinking to name calling and insults.

Finally... if you see a thread entitled "Oh good old Bush", chances are it is of a political nature, and if this makes you uncomfortable... best keep on moving and not read it.

Censorship sucks.

This is why I just posted my opinion on the matter, Religion & Politics can cause lots of heated debating but so far everything is peaceful which is rare to a board, I don't believe in manipulating someone's post, either it stays or goes if it becomes vulgar or offensive, neither in this case has occurred. My apologies for not clarifying that in my previous post, I just meant it as a warning to post friendly.

Well folks I have to say I dont really want to go forward with this type of thread. The concept of the water fountain is for folks to share stuff outside of the reefing hobby, to create a little more of a sence of community with in the membership. If I really look at what GOOD could come out of this kind of debate and look back at the history of this kind of topic has been on other boards I dont see anything good that could come of it. All it will do is polorize folks against each other and that is something I wouldnt want to see here, I really like how we have all come together to help each other and share ou experences,
Thier are many forums on the internet that deal with this kind of subject matter, so lets take it thier for this kind of debate. I am going to close this thread, but I am going to keep it open for viewing. If you have a concern woith my decission, please feel free to PM me or email me with your concerns.
