Been picking up a few zoanthid frags lately and getting a zoanthid only tank going again:)

Been doing the usual dipping all new stuff in FWE and holding them in my other tank for a week or so to observe, etc.
Things were looking pretty good,,,,,,,,,,, until this morning I noticed a couple small colonies that had closed up polyps.:(
So out came the magnifying glass and I found these.

Sometimes I swear this hobby can be so depressing:frown:

That's pretty good Mike. lol

I wanted to wait a few more months before I added fish, and I was looking at a pair of pipe fish.

Bummer Martin! First the formalin spill and now this. I though you got new zoa's when I saw the thread :doubt:.

Ever heard of anyone using vet drugs to dip for nudibranchs? I got some ivermectin to try on red bugs and flatworms. Yes I intentionally picked up frags with red bugs and put them in a special tank just so I could try killing the bugs. Haven't got any zoa eating nudi's to play with, but I know where I can get some that eat monties, might have to try that next.

I don't think I would even see those nudibranchs. Amazing photo!

dude i found one this morning! Usually i dont see my tank till afternoon time when i get home from work...well ive got the day off and the dang lights click on just to show me a red rust lookin nudi with leaves on his back! AHHHHHHH i tried to pluck him out wit tweezers but only ripped a couple leaves off his back! Will it die and bomb my tank? I also saw some eggs i think so i scrapped em off the polyp!
Any other info? Im nervous bout this lil guy!

Yeah ! this hobby make me so frustrated... sometimes my zoas look good for a few week and then they start dying for no reason.
