The old tank was so over run with Aiptasia that I have to just trash the tank. Started new tank, let it sit for 3 weeks or so with out live rock, added live rock and let that sit for about 3 weeks.

Took test today no levels of ammonia, nitrites or nitrates. PH level good. So I am good to go ????

I have 3 fish in old tank that I want to transfer to new tank so I can sell old. They should be fine at this point????

Thanks

add 1 and wait and see if does a second cycle as most do when u add a bioload.

Should I do a water change before adding fish?? I have not done one on new tank at all.

test everything in the water ammonia nitrite nitrate salinity alkalinity calcium magnesium phosphorus. and post ur findings

Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Nitrates 0
PH 8.2
Salinity 1.025

At the moment it's a FWLR, do not have test kit for alkalinity calcium magnesium phosphorus.

if ur at all zeros u need to get something in ther to feed the bacteria or it will all die the longer u wait the harder the mini cycle will be. why most add a fish at 10 nitrates so ther is a load to keep it going.so add 1 fish and late tonight do all ur tests again or even in the morn. you should see at least a rise in nitrates. if by morn u are testing ammonia id remove the fish and wait till it ballances out.

Added one fish of the three last night around 9 pm. Tested water this morning and all levels are still zero.

It has been 3 days since I added a clown to the tank and everything is still at zero would it be safe to add one more?
