I placed my very first online order yesterday. It came FedEx Priority Overnight this morning. There was a hole punctured thru both layers of the bags. The bottom of the shipping box was soggy but not dripping. There were only a few residual droplettes of water on the inside of the bag, which indicates that the animal may have been out of the water for some time. I called the online vendor and he told me that I would need to take pictures (which I did) and that he would give me a credit of just the coral and not of shipping.
Since there was nothing I could have done to prevent this situation, I don't believe it's reasonable that I'm expected to absorb the cost of shipping.
This is a pretty reputable online vendor to my knowledge. Should the vendor be expected to refund or credit the whole order including shipping? Thoughts? Experiences? Help?
