So what is up with only one US Marine posting here? I know there are US Marines that must be stationed on some of those mighty fine US Navy vessels in Washington. So there's got to be at least a couple of USMC on security detail for the US Navy vessels in port or even an air wing onboard.

Name: Nick
Branch: USMC
MOS: 0313 LAV Crewman, Mech Infantry/Mech Reconnaissance
Length of Service: 4 Years
Duty Stations: Camp Pendleton Ca, 29 Palms Ca, Okinawa
Deployments: Okinawa, Singapore, Somalia, Kenya, Thailand, Tinian, Guam, Saipan, Iwo Jima, Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar.
Sea Duty: Aboard the USS Belleau Wood, and aboard the USS Ogden
Stuck in airports and airbases while enroute to a deployment in: CA, NY, HI, AK, France, Egypt, Ireland, Korea, Japan.
Seasick in: Pacific Ocean, South China Sea, Indian Ocean.
Marched/walked up & down/ran up&down /around/on/through: swamps, jungles, rainforests, hills, mountains, deserts, beaches, forests, mud puddles, mud lakes, asphalt, etc
Things eaten/fed: To unspeakable to mention.
Enjoyment: Absolutely, even when not required.

Semper Fi Spellbound!

Good job Big Blue on starting this thread.

Thanks Maxx,

For the other guy & gals that post up your military service time shoot mojoreef a PM and he will get you set up with the military banner under your name.

Thank you to those who have gone before me, thank you to those serving with me, and thank you to those who will be serving after me.

Not too surprised there aren't more Marines on here. During my time in the Navy it was my impression that you folks were better at drooling and making things go BOOM! Didn't meet many that were big on intelligent conversation and the ones that were probably wished they were sailors.

Kidding, kidding...I'm just trying to get some back for damn near being run over on the brow by a group of Marines during a security alert while we were tied to a special weapons pier. Now I know what a linebacker looks like to a quarterback! Big, green, and pissed off!
