Congrats! I am so looking forward to having a place to call my own. Soon!

It's not all just the front entry way "my place" it is great all over...just a few more if I may indulge  Check it out, it's got the original hardwood flooring right under the soon to be removed carpet!

Todd, I'd be happy to take you up on the offer to snap some pictures with your digital camera. Also I have some SS frags I got in richland this weekend. lloking for a place to keep them until my big tank is up??

that looks like a nice spot for a tank... i bet there's a crawl space to house pumps and such too... now to get buy off on cutting into the wall :)

i just pulled the carpets up on our main floor and re finished the hardwoods myself. it is a major pain in the arse. research and patience are prerequisites. theres a great place in georgetown south of seattle that will take you through everything to do it yourself. ended up costing me 700 for the DIY but would have been three times that if we had hired someone. i rented three different machines and used the good finish you can't buy in home depot. pretty happy with the results though.

Hey jazznreef, are you the same jazznreef I picked up the piranah float mag from? Thanks for the advice, like to hear more about the place your talking about for the hardwood floors. If you are the same person I remember those floors of yours...they looked great! BTW did you ever decide what pumps you are going to keep?

yupp, it's me... I can't remember the name, grrr... but can look it up for you if you remind me later. There are very few places that have retail store fronts for DIY hardwoods and I'm sure they are the only one just south of Seattle. Send me a PM though and I'll figure it out for you. No extra pumps yet, sorry. Good luck with the move.

Time for a bit of catching up. Here is a shot of what we were left with for floor condition after tearing up the carpet...lots of work:doubt:
Then the finished product.

My newest project is getting the front entryway ready for the future cube. Tiled the whole entryway and reinforced the floor. The crawl space is only 21" at the highest point...no fun!

My cube will be 3'x3'x2' the area I have reinforced there has a brace every ~2'x 4' so an area of roughly 6'x4' that is fully reinforced. Probably way overkill but what the heck.

Wow. Thats some nice work on the floors... Im waiting to see what kind of crazy in wall tank you're going to design.

And just case anyone thought that fuzzy thing in the middle picture of the frontroom was weird lookin' cat; it's not. That's Soshi, a real, live, dog.

Just don't play with his duck, and you'll be alright.

Todd, you should post a picture of your "vintage" bathroom.

Looks great.

Trevor
