Thanks, we had our 75g up and running for about 7 years before we got the 180. Took us 6 months to finally get all the pieces together for it. We transferred everything and the new tank has been up and running for about 6 months now.

I just found two amazing rocks, tear down and reassembly will commence shortly.

Very nice tank!!!! I am just starting to set up my 180. I hope just hope I can get mine to look that great someday.

So we just spent all day today removing and replacing all the rock in the tank. We (I) am putting corals back, it's amazing how much more room you get when you add more rock.

Congrats on your amazing tank. Can you give us a rundown of your hardware and maintenance routines? So we can learn some few tricks how you make your tank that beautiful

So back on the subject of tank.... We have for equipment:
60 gallon sump underneath
3-400w metal halides (20k)
2-5 foot actinics
3-sea swirls pushed by a dart gold pump
2-mp40 ES
kalk reactor (we use kalk +2) hooked up up auto top-off
E-shoppes 200 skimmer
2-heaters so that if one goes bad it isn't strong enough to boil the tank- we have done that recently with our QT- bad bad stuff.
And our maintenance schedule is super simple.....
Daily cleaning of glass and weekly water changes, that's it.
We used to test and dose and test and dose-however when Jeremy deployed, I didn't have time for all that and just kept up on water changes as I could and our corals room off, so that's all we do. We test weekly to make sure nothing is going wrong.

Only 13 more corals to move back into the main tank, until our sexy order arrives that is.

So learned a lesson today, don't hold the glue cap in your
mouth unless you want to glue your lips together...
