I have a 55G with 2" PVC overflows in both rear corners going through the bottom into my sump. This causes a good deal of noise and was wondering if anyone has or had a similar setup and if and how they were able to cut down on that noise

Thanks in advance,
Josh

if it is noise at the top or as it goes down the drain, then a durso standpipe will fix it. If you are talking about noise in the sump, then make sure the pipe terminates below the water. That will prevent the crashing sound into the sump.

agreed. Dursos are great, just make sure you upsize the hole to the correct size.
