I'm going to be bending a overflow baffle for my son's tank today and am thinking about going toothless with it. What experiences do you guys and gals have to share about overflows with no teeth?

Probably not the best way to go. Alot of critters are going to make their way into the overflow and into the sump. I'd take the time to cut the teeth.

good point, if I did go with the toothless overflow I'd definitely use a piece of gutter guard or eggcrate to keep anyone from taking a ride.

with a smooth surface your going to get better surface skimming which is a plus

definitely:cool: I think i'm going to skip the teeth on this one and if it turns out I don't like it I'll route some teeth into it. I'm going to pick up my acrylic tomorrow and will post pics....
