Does anyone have an extra overflow box laying around? Mine stopped working last night, so I've currently got my tank running sumpless. I strongly prefer a non-CPR style overflow (they require a pump to continue running).

CPR type overflows do not have to have a pump. Take some air hose and hook it up to the lifter port, start a vacuum (suck) and let it drain into the sump. Mine has a valve on it to keep the flow to a trickle, just enough to keep the air purged. Gravity feed! Have done this for many years.

Completely. Have never owned an aqualifter, always used the drain line. Gravity works and is dependable. I even place the end near the intake of the sump pump and if power goes out, when it restarts, auto primes the drain line :>)

Mike was right, I got it working with a siphon. I guess it's the pump that's screwed up. Luckily those are cheap, maybe I'll buy two. I'd run the siphon by hooking it up to my return pump, but I don't think I have the venturi piece for it. It's a Mag 7.5. Not sure if those even come with a venturi adapter.

Glad it is working for you. Don't need the venturi, jut put the end near the intake and it creates an almost venturi. Make sure it doesn't get pulled into the impeller.

Ahh I see what you mean. I'll hook it up that way. I've got a screen on the intake anway, I could easily rubber band the air hose to the screen.

Actually I had to remove the screen on the intake as the surface area of the intake was too large (not enough "suck" for the siphon to start). I used a plastic hose clamp and some foam sponge to secure the siphon hose to the return pump line and hold the end of the air hose over the center of the intake. Siphon starts up perfectly!

Here's a pic:
