Hello all. Thought I'd share some pictures of my first tank, which I have had up and running for almost 10 months now. What a cool hobby this has turned out to be. A little more work than I expected, but worth it.

The tank is an Elos System 80. 53 Gallon Tank with a 7 gallon Sump. 4+ gallon built in auto-topoff resevoir. Elos Planet Light Fixture. 150W 10k MH bulb and 4 24W T5's. Elos NS550 Skimmer.

Below is a slideshow with pics of the tank, fish and coral, and below that, are 4 videos.

Thanks and Thanks. I'm pretty happy with it for my first tank....and I can understand why so many people have multiple tanks. Can't do everything you want in one tank.

Hey Pammy,
Welcome to the Board! You have a very nice, well set up system. Thanks for sharing. One thing I noticed is that your anemone is bleached out. How long have you had it? How often and what are you feeding it?

Nick

Thanks all. Hi Maxx. When I bought the Anemone, I didn't know it was bleached out. I've had it for about 6 weeks now. He's not really eating yet as far as I can see. I've tried small 1/8" pieces of silversides, krill, and mysis. I try feeding him every other day, but the clown keeps knocking the food out. I try blocking the clown for a while, but the Anemone just doesn't seem to eat the food. He is very sticky and he's definitely turning beige though. Kind of looks dingy right now, which I know is a good sign.

If its getting darker, then its getting healthier. Keep doing what your doing for now.

It's been 7 weeks since I brought home a very bleached Sabae Anemone. He still doesn't seem to be eating, but you can see by the following two pics how much he has darkened. I think he's going to make it. :)

Pam,
that is definately an improvement over when you first got it. Keep doing what you're doing.

Hey all. Here's a picture of my very bleached Sabae when I got him 3 months ago, and a picture of him tonight. He's darkened up a lot !!! :) He sort of wedged himself in a horshoe shaped opening in the rock structure. He's a bit shaded, but he picked the spot, so I'll leave him alone. Still doesn't seem to be taking food, but he's darkened up so much, he must be getting what he needs. (I've tried small pieces of silversides, krill, mysis) Pam
