My six years old PBT always have some parasites but my RBTA spawn two weeks a go and the PBT now is cover with them how can i kill them. The fish is in a 200G SPS ten years old reef tank i'm going to make a trap so i can get the fish out the fish is eating good but is drive him crazy with all this things all over him here is a picture.
Thank You.

have you added any new fish to your system?
IMO looks like a fungus infection. might be lyposistis (however it's spelled)

That doesnt look like a fungal infection to me, I think it looks more like a fluke infestation or some type of nematode that exposes part of its body outside of the fish.

I'll send Boomer a PM and ask him to take a look at this...he's pretty good at ID-ing fish diseases and reccomending a treatment.

My first guess would be to isolate the fish and put it in a hyposaline environment.

Nick

It is a parasite no one was able to ID this one yet.

Just a update.
After feeding Garlic- Ginger soaked foods for a month no more parasites :D

I knew Vampires hated garlic!!

I am very glad to hear the problem has been allieviated. I really felt for that poor guy when I saw the pic several weeks ago..
