Been experimenting with a new way to photograph fish in the shop.. I tell ya what, it sure beats chasing them around a big tank with the camera, trying to get a picture. Actually got a couple halfway decent shots of this guy, a Pastel Ring Wrasse... Kind of a cool wrasse that you don't see every day. I love his rough scales that you can see pretty clearly.

whats the new way I still have problems with fish pics!!
It seems to work for you

Don't think it would work for an individuals aquarium, for here it works. I set up a little 2.5gal tank with sand, water from our fish system, glass top and white paper background, then using one of Ecoxotics LED strips to light it with. Just catch the fish and drop in the tank for a few mins.

Very nice pictures.

Did you make a picture box?

Thanks. :) You got it. Set up a little 2.5gal for fish pics.

Brie, very nice pics and a whole lot better than the old Dr. Herbert Axelrods fish box pics. Now if you can get a Flasher or Fairy Wrasse to pose for you.
