Pay/Frag it Forward

Yeah but the "pay it forward" term has become so frequently used, it's kinda lost its specail significant meaning here in the pacific northwest. I know it's not a phrase we invented, but it's a motto we use specifically to honor Bob. Carry on that belief.

Nothing pal. It wasn't supposed to be a cut at you or anybody.

It was just that he had mentioned specifically "pay if forward." People can pay it forward for whatever reason they wish. It doesn't need to be about Bob at all. Locally "pay it forward" has a special meaning to some reefers who remember Bob. I was just giving a little back ground on what pay it forward means around here. Also, I didn't realize that the PSAS had frag program that the original poster could have been referring to. I thought since it was the general forum on reef frontiers it was not a club related topic.

Bret it was my bad, It WAS a "DON"T BREAK THE CHAIN" frag for PSAS..
I miss typed " pay it forward" instead of DBTC..
My bad..
But I Did get a frag of Bob Moore stag from Tracy back in the day..(for free with explanation of it's origin and the legacy that comes with it.
What a good thing Bob did..May he rest in peace.

Well it can be called anything we like, still a good quality method of bringing a community together.

I dont know who Bob is/was, and by the sounds of it, he was a good reefer if he brought about the "pay it forward" or "DBTC"

I like the idea and the backing story of Frag it forward. I believe in it also, just sharing your knowledge to help others in the hobby is one of the best things you can do.

I know what pay it forward is and also the bob Moore frag swap. I understand the concept of Bob Moore pay it forward frag swap. and i think it is great. I was confused at what BTC stated before that post . but it is not all the big of a deal!

Adam, still did what he did out of generosity not greed which is still pay it forward to me. nothing to do with bob Moore may he rest in peace!

Thanks for your original post, trying to explain the "pay it forward" reference and who Bob was. I actually started the use of the phrase in relation to Bob, as many people were familiar with the movie and could easily relate the concept with one simple phrase. It most closely described Bob and his involvement in the hobby.

I'm always amazed by the reefing community. The outpouring of support I got when I was sick, both financially and otherwise blew my mind. I look forward to being able to pay that much back in the future.
