Been to the memorial in Hawaii twice and I will never forget it. One the few places left where there is true respect for the fallen. People don't even speak while at the memorial. I loved the experience...it's a constant reminder of our fallen soldiers that gave everything for us to live free.

this is really nice of you Jake :) .
I was semi watching today in the news (sometimes the kid is to loud)and they were talking about some soldiers who at that time saw a submarine and were trying to warn the other guys.
they said that if someone would have listen probably this would have been a different story :( .

When I was stationed in Hawaii I visited the memorial at least 10 times while I was there with family and friends. It never gets old. And now the USS Missouri is docked there also for tours.

The Mighty Mo was great to walk through and around. Also seeing the peace treaty in the case was impressive...and the gun turrets...awesome!!!

One day that changed the world.....

The memorial is great....I encourage others to go, especially if you've never been to hawaii. I've lived on O'ahu for 8-9 years and will cherish the time i've spent there.

Best,
Ilham

Thanks Jake, I went on the second page too. It has the names of all that lost thier lives and were wounded that day.
If you love your freedom thank a vetran. I am proud to have a small part serving my country.
I think the some of the greatest heros this country has ever known were on Flight 93, they attacked the terrorists, with no training, no preperation, and nothing but the weapons at hand. No one will know how many lives they saved that day. I believe they sent a clear message to terrorists everywhere. We will fight you to the death for our freedom.
God Bless America!
